QHSE HOD / HSE REPRESENTATIVE

1. Create monthly HSE reports, presentations and HSE topic that provide employees with workplace injury statistics, new initiatives and system changes.
2. Assist in management of any system and legislative changes to ensure tasks are undertaken safely and comply with internal and external requirements.
3. Provide accurate and timely advice to managers on prevailing HSE issues.
4. Continually review work practices, recommend ways in which processes and develop systems when it can be improved.
5. Keep abreast of legislative changes and best practice methods.
6. Assist in maintaining the HSE Plans and HSE corrective actions.
7. Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits across varying locations across various sites.
8. Conduct regular Mock Drills to ensure all employees at office site are aware on their roles and positions during different emergency situations.
9. Unsafe conditions and unsafe acts are to be reported immediately.
10. Undertake risk assessments of new or changed plant, work site, facilities, tools etc. and revisiting and amendment of risk assessments when incidents occur
11. Undertake a weekly Toolbox Talk at minimum.
12. Ensure that records are maintained.
13. Assist in the maintenance and development of the QOHS MS.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an occupational health and safety role or similar position
2. NEBOSH or IOSH certified
3. Experience in identifying, developing, and executing safety procedures, and other supporting OHS materials, including experience with hazard identifications or risk assessments
4. Excellent Communication and leadership skills to ensure effective implementation of company-wide safety procedures
5. Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and organization to oversee all aspects regarding OHS-matters
